Hermann Baumann, Horn Hermann Baumann was born in Hamburg in 1934. Piano and Cello classes, choir director,jazz drummer. Graduated in Humanistics. First privat horn studies under Heinrich Keller, than Fritz Huth at the State High School for Music in Hamburg. 1957 till 1961 Principal Horn in the Dortmund State Orchestra , 1961 till 1967 Principal Horn in the Stuttgart South German Television Symphony Orchestra . 1964,First Award at the ARD competition in Munich. Concerts in all continents and metropolises, participation at the renowned festivals. Master courses around the globe. Professorship at the Folkwang High School in Essen until 1999. |

Georg Sonnleitner, Horn Georg Sonnleitner was born in Vienna. He began to play horn by Jakob Hefti ( Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra ) after many years of violin and piano classes. He completed his horn studies at the Lucerne Conservatory in the horn class in 1991 with the award rating teacher’s diploma . He followed more studies in Berlin as Herbert von Karajan Orchestra Acadamy scholar in the Berlin Philarmonic Orchestra under Norbert Hauptmann and finally privat under Sebastian Weigle (Berlin State Chapel). He gave back his commitment at Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra from 1994 till 1995 to devote himself into further studies of the Vienna horn under Friedrich Gabler at the Vienna University for Music and Performing Arts. He is the second horn player in the Vienna Symphony Orchestra since 1996. He is also a member of the Concentus Musicus Wien and Andreas Schiffs’ „Cappella Andrea Barca“. As orchestra musician, chamber musician and also as a soloist he performs both Vienna F-Horn and modern Double Horn as well as Inventions Horn and Baroque Horn. |

Radovan Vlatkovic, Horn Radovan Vlatcovic was born in Zagreb. Horn studies at the Zagreb Music Academy and at the German North-West Music Academy in Detmold. Exellent Study degree. ARD competition 1st award in Munich in 1983. Radovan Vlatkovic was the Principal Horn at the Berlin’s Symphony Radio Orchestra from 1982 till 1990. The concerts lead him to all continents. Many CD recodings prove his broad artistics works.Radovan Vladkovic is an ordinary horn professor at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Madrid’s Reina Sofia High School and lecturer at the Zurich’s Music High School. |

Ab Koster, Horn Ab Koster was born in the Hague as the son of a Dutch horn player. He comleted his studies at the Queen’s High School for Music in his home town with the „Prix d’Exellence“. Then he continued his education in Germany at the Folkwang High School under Hermann Baumann in Essen. He was the 1st Principal Horn in the NDR Symphony Orchestra in Hamburg. Ab Koster shows his exellent soloist skills not only on the modern Valve Horn but also on the historic Natural Horn. Concert trips lead him to almost all countries: North,East and West Europa as well as to the USA, Canada,Japan,Australia and Taiwan. Ab Koster is a Professor at the High School for Music and Theater in Hamburg. |

Wolfgang Gaag Wolfgang Gaag (born in Waldsassen), has begun as a balance engineer after his graduation at the Berlin TU University and at the Berlin Music High School(Major in Horn Studies under Prof. Alfred Gohlke). During his studies he was a solo horn player in the „RIAS Jugendorchester“ and in the „Jeneusses Musicales Weltorchester“. His first engagement as solo horn player in the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra (1969) was during his final exam. He changed into the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra in the same position where Sergiu Celibidache undertook him into the Munich’s Philarmoniker as solo horn player. His reputation as professor at the Stuttgart Music High School followed the horn professorship transfer to the Munchen Music High School. Wolfgang Gaag was a member of the Festspielorchester Bayreuth, is a member and co-founder of the renowned chamber music associations such as „Deutsche Bläsersolisten“, German Brass, „Villa Musica“, „Odeon-Konzerte“. His varied activities as soloist, orchestra and chamber musician lead him together with prestigious music personalities to the big music concerts of the world. Many radio, TV and CD recordings reveal his playing culture and art. Recently Wolfgang Gaag focuses on teaching as well on solo and chamber music performances. He always proves his extraordinary music, personal and pedagogic skills at different international master classes, festivals and competitions(as juror). |

Lukas Christinat, Horn Lukas Christinat was born and grew up in Burgdorf(Kanton Bern). After secondary school he studied at the Lucerne Conservatory under Francesco Raselli who died early. Lukas continued his studies at the Folkwang Music School by Hermann Baumann in Essen(Germany). Lukas Christinat graduated from the Lucerne Conservatory by Jakob Hefti with the Soloist Diploma in 1990. He is a Principal Horn in the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra since 1991 and is the winner of the „Edwin Fischer Memorial Prize“ and the „Friedel Wald Foundation“. The concerts lead him to the whole Europe, America and Japan. Since autumn 2000 he is a Professor at the Lucerne Music High School. In addition he teaches at the Sarnen’s Music School. He is an initiator of the International Obwalden Horn Festival and runs The Obwalden Horn Group. |
